Jim's on vacation!

So while Jim is on vacation...I have had some fun inviting special guests in the studio...Local celebrity and talk show host Jerry Stewart, Scotty Brocket from our sales team, Pastor Kim Ryan, Lance Landry and tommorrow I look forward to Andrew from "The Panic Squad"...Since they are an improvisational comedy group...there might be some surprises in store for the show...should be fun...Now I haven't heard from Jim while he is in Colorado Bow-hunting, so I will assume NO news is good news! He will join me back on the air on Monday!

Then he'll find out just how many people it took to fill his BIG shoes!

Dear Jim & Lynnette, I came across this Blog page by perusing the Praise site. I have been listening to Praise 106.5 for close to 16 years now & cannot live w/o you guys. Quite frankly I don't know where I would be if I didn't have Praise in my life. I loved reading your blogs & especially enjoyed meeting your families in the pictures. Thank you for being so "up front & personal". God Bless YOU both & please continue to do just what you are both doing, for so many of those, like me! I send my love, Angie Cooper

I enjoy Praise 106.5 so much, I have it on all the time! I really appreciate your station and have been listening for more years than I can count. Thank you for blessing me with your music!
This is a poem that God gave me for the Haiti earthquake

HAITI EARTHQUAKE/

Bodies rotting on the ground /
Destruction everywhere is found /
Stomachs cry with hunger pain /
So much loss so little gain /
Buildings fallen, families shattered /
Rubble everywhere is scattered /
Cries and moans slowly subside /
As those buried alive have died /
The stench of death permeates the air /
But miracles are everywhere /
People surviving days on end /
Sometimes buried beside a friend /
The ground shook, the buildings fell /
As Haiti was plunged into hell /
Hearts cry around the world /
As the devastation is unfurled /
Hopeless feelings, what can we do?/
Oh Lord, we cry out to You /
For we hear when all else is gone /
In Haiti there arises a gospel song /
As people cry out to You for aid /
Those shattered and so afraid /
Lift their hearts in praise to You/
While others still practise their voodoo /
Looting and stealing does abound /
As the aftershocks still pound /
People sleeping in the street /
There is not enough to eat /
As bodies are buried in mass graves /
The prayers are echoed, “Jesus please save /
The lost and hurting in this place /
For each of them has a face /
A family and friends that cared /
Now their hearts have been bared /
So many died, yet others live /
Oh Lord may Your strength You give /
To the Haitians and those around /
Who truly do love this ground /
Help them rebuild strong and true /
May they cast their eyes to You /
To break the curse of death that’s there /
Help them realise You care /
As You send help from far away /
May around the globe, Your people pray /
For the moving of Your hand /
May You bring peace to Haiti’s land /
With Death and destruction everywhere /
Oh Lord, please keep them in Your care” /

Just want to say thank you for the work you do every morning. Although it doesn't sound so much like work as it does you two having a great time. But isn't that what a job is really supposed to be about?

with love,
Winnie
